A Gentler Kind of Veterinary Care From Your Orlando, FL Veterinarian

At The Gentle Vet, we want to know your pet well — not just what brings them in today, but what they’re like at home, what has changed, and what helps them feel their best.

Sometimes a small change can make a big difference. Better pain control can make walks enjoyable again. Catching a health change early can give us more options. Adjusting a plan for an older pet can help them stay comfortable and involved in the life they love.

From preventive care to chronic condition management, our veterinarian and support team focus on helping pets stay healthy and engaged in their daily life.

The Heart Behind the Care

At The Gentle Vet, getting to know you and your pet is part of the care we provide. Dr. Bowen came to veterinary medicine after first working in animal welfare policy, where she realized she wanted a more hands-on way to help animals and the people who care for them. Today, she has a special interest in senior pets, chronic conditions, and pain management, with a focus on finding practical ways to help pets feel better and enjoy more good days. That same compassion guides her work beyond the clinic through organizations such as Project Street Vet.

Privately Owned, Personally Invested

At our locally owned animal hospital, we consider your pet one of the family and ensure you're a true partner in their healthcare

Care That Adapts to Your Pet

For some pets, the clinic isn't the easiest place to be. When appropriate, telehealth and in-home support offer additional ways to deliver care.

Emphasis on Long-term Wellbeing

From preventive care to chronic condition management, we focus on helping pets stay healthy and engaged in their daily life.

Care for Every Part of Your Pet's Life With an Emphasis on Long-Term Wellbeing

We’re here for the routine things, the new concerns, and the changes that happen slowly over time.

Wellness Visits

Regular visits give us a chance to get to know your pet, monitor changes, and talk about anything you’ve noticed at home.

Preventive Care

Vaccines, screening tests, parasite prevention, and other recommendations are based on your pet’s age, lifestyle, and individual needs.

Senior Pet Care

Dr. Bowen especially enjoys caring for older pets. We look closely at mobility, pain, appetite, behavior, and other changes that can affect how a senior pet feels from day to day.

Pain Management

Pain can be easy to miss, especially when it develops gradually. We look for signs of discomfort and work with you to find ways to help your pet move and feel better.
